We are committed to providing clear, accurate, and easy-to-understand voting information so members know when elections occur, who is eligible to vote, what positions are open, and how ballots are cast and counted. By explaining the process, outlining voting rules, and encouraging participation, we help property owners make informed decisions that reflect their priorities and values. Transparent and accessible election information strengthens trust, increases engagement, and supports fair outcomes that serve the long-term interests of the Fairfield Harbour community.

Our Team Candidates running for election

William Eichelberg, 6201 Ibis Lane, FFH

My wife Roberta and I moved to Fairfield Harbour in November of 2023 from the cold and snowy state of Wisconsin. Since that time, we’ve been very busy remodeling and updating our home. It’s been a huge undertaking, but we’re very happy with the work we’ve done both inside and out. It’s an ongoing process.

I grew up on a farm in Southern Wisconsin. Living on a farm taught me responsibility, a solid work ethic and a strong sense of self-reliance. Looking back on it, I was very fortunate to have such a great upbringing.

I am pleased to say that I have 25 years of experience in agricultural marketing and sales. This includes working with and participating in board meetings over those years. For ten years, I was the national director of marketing for the Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Associationwith an annual budget of $3.5M. I also have 15 years of experience working in the hospitality industry, specifically working for a large convention bureau and conference center. This experience afforded me extensive knowledge of sales, operations and customer service, the backbone of the hospitality industry.

Over the years I have served on ten boards of directors including board president for three years with a private association. The budgets for these boards ranged from $50,000 to $2M. I have extensive experience in budget development and management along with committee direction and management.

In my leisure time, for 34 years I was a high school and youth sports official. I officiated hundreds of baseball, basketball and volleyball games for all age ranges. I also enjoy working in my yard and garden. My wife and I have worked in animal rescue for almost 20 years, adopting most of our fosters. We currently have three dogs, all rescues.

At Fairfield Harbour, there are several areas of work that are crucial to our existence including street repairs and stormwater management. In addition, our emergency and contingency funds were depleted following Hurricane Florence and must be funded for possible future use. There are serious issues regarding the gates and security that need to be addressed. The ongoingnegative financial situation with the golf course and Pointe Restaurant must be dealt with. Those are just some of the major programs waiting for us to resolve. And, not to be overlooked, of upmost importance is restoring confidence in the board of directors by the residents in this community. Much of this has been lost over the years.

As newer homeowners in the Harbour, we have watched major financial and logistical decisions as well as changes to our bylaws by the board in the last few years. While the board’s membership has changed dramatically through removals by the homeowners, resignations and elections of their replacements continue to make long-term decisions without major community support. Our community needs to complete major road repaving and stormwater remediation projects. Rather than acting on those major present and future capital project needs, the board’s leadership chose to move forward on a multi-million-dollar clubhouse using your dues as collateral without your permission. No vote by residents.

It is time for the homeowners to elect board members that will tell you the true financial picture of our community and what options are available to close those gaps. With your support, I pledge to be that board member.

I have no personal or professional relationship with any company, organization or individual who has or seeking to have a business relationship with FHPOA.

Ann Simpson, Hurricane Ct, FFH

I am a dedicated community leader with decades of experience in public service, organizational leadership, and community involvement. Born and raised in North Haven, Connecticut, near Yale University, I began my professional career as an administrative assistant in the manufacturing industry before pursuing nursing at Stone Academy. I later worked in Emergency Services, coordinating EMS providers, hospitals, and fire departments throughout the region.

Following my healthcare career, I pursued my passion for horticulture and floral design, becoming a National Garden Club Flower Show Judge and serving on the organization’s Board of Directors for the State of Connecticut. These experiences strengthened my skills in leadership, collaboration, budgeting, and strategic decision-making.

Since moving to Fairfield Harbour in 2009, I have remained actively involved in the community through committee service and volunteer leadership. I was elected to the Board of Directors in 2013 and served as President from 2014 through 2018 during one of the most challenging periods in our community’s history. During that time, the Board successfully navigated complex legal and financial challenges, including the acquisition and preservation of key community amenities and recreational properties for the benefit of homeowners.

I believe effective leadership begins with transparency, fiscal responsibility, and respect for homeowners. My goal is to ensure that residents’ voices are heard, community resources are protected, and future decisions are made with long-term stability and affordability in mind.

As our community continues to evolve, I remain committed to responsible leadership that balances growth, infrastructure needs, and quality of life for all residents. I am seeking the opportunity to continue serving on the Board of Directors to help strengthen our community, preserve its character, and ensure a positive future for current and future homeowners.

I am a licensed residential and commercial General Contractor with more than four decades of experience in construction management, budgeting, and community service.

Originally from Eastern Long Island, I studied Architecture at the New York Institute of Technology before starting my construction business in 1982. In 1995, I relocated to Fairfield Harbour and continued my career after obtaining my North Carolina General Contractor’s license. For the past 30 years, I have proudly served this community through my business and professional experience.

Throughout my career, I have managed employees, subcontractors, project budgets, and long-term planning initiatives. These experiences have provided me with practical financial and operational skills that could help the POA Board manage community resources responsibly and efficiently. I am also knowledgeable in our Community Declarations, Bylaws, and North Carolina Statutes 55A and 47F that govern homeowners associations.

In addition to my professional background, I have always valued community involvement and communication. In 1975, I formed a band with several friends, and for two decades we performed at weddings, fairs, festivals, and community events. That experience taught me the importance of listening, understanding people’s perspectives, and responding to the needs and interests of others. Over my 44-year career as a contractor, I have continued to strengthen those same skills by working closely with clients to bring their ideas and goals to life.

My family and I have lived in Fairfield Harbour for 30 years—longer than many current residents. During that time, I have seen both golf courses operate, watched the original clubhouse thrive as a center of community activity, and witnessed the many changes, challenges, hurricanes, and legal disputes our community has faced over the years.

I believe the role of the POA Board is to preserve and strengthen our community while remaining accountable to homeowners. Major decisions that significantly impact our finances and future should include meaningful homeowner input and transparency. I support preserving our open spaces as Recreational Only Property and ensuring that residents have a stronger voice in decisions involving major expenses or long-term debt obligations.

As our community continues to evolve, I remain committed to responsible leadership, fiscal accountability, and open communication with homeowners. After serving Fairfield Harbour for the past three decades, I would be honored to continue serving the community as a member of the POA Board of Directors. I respectfully ask for your support and your vote.
